Forget if we can sign Zubi or not..but we should have atleast agree a contract with him if FFP allowed like with INIGO as Zubi z so rare of a player.
I personal think zubimendi is the perfect replacement for busi.

barca need to invest well in the dm position its the most important on pitch, we should be all over Ugarte from sporting hes been unreal for them and put up a motm perfomance vs arsenal recently in europa league, hes press resistant comfortable on ball and great defensivley along with being quick and strong. His release clause is 60 mill but because of trincao deal we have with sporting we would get him at 10 mill less at 50 mill. Hes the perfect option next to frenkie.

I wonder if he could be re-configured into a backup pivot cause can’t see him playing for us as CB anymore.
• Zubimendi is the ideal replacement, if Sociedad will work with us on the payments, something like 3 €20m payments…
• Gundogan isn’t a DM, he’s less of a DM than De Jong
• Parejo, I’d rather keep Busquets lol
• Amrabat would be a solid DM, but he’s still very unknown to be honest. Seems like he’s a good defender & isn’t at the level of passing we need
• Varela is young, wouldn’t be a bad option to be honest, would love to see it
• Díaz is too small to be a DM imo for what we need defensively
• Nico would be ideal, but idk if he’s capable of being at that level quite yet… also, Nico isn’t naturally a DM, he’s always been more advanced
• Casado, I wish, but sadly it won’t happen, he’s not that level
I think its better to gamble on a younger player who will be on the same reduced salary as busquets but at least he is younger and can keep intensity. I cannot see why continuing with busquets makes sense.

Busquets is now where Puyol was a couple of years before he retired: He knows the game inside and out and the Barca organization ditto. It will be easier and simpler to use him another year or two whilst the club looks to work on the right wing since for one reason or another Dembele can't be counted on to shine and there is no one, long term, to play there.
