After joining the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series in 2015, Polignano a Mare’s now a regular stop for the cliff diving elite, and it’s easy to see why.. The town’s perched on the cliffs surrounding a turquoise cove, creating a natural amphitheatre for the crowds who flock to watch the divers in action and giving the event an unbeatable atmosphere. Polignano a Mare delivered a big upset in 2016 when world champion Gary Hunt failed to make the final and Artem Silchenko delivered a final-round masterclass to bag his only win of the year.
