  1. Looked like he was trying to pull out for me in real time. Slow mo always makes things look worse. Yellow card would've been better

  2. Grrrr! how the heck is that not a red card?

Why was he bracing and not tackling???

There was no time to change sure, he was never trying to tackle

  3. whatever about if it was or wasnt I think there's almost weekly evidence that rugby games need an extra decision-maker when it comes to instances of red cards. Maybe its time to look at some kind of alternative to first insure it remains safe and second that it doesn't disrupt the actual game like making ONLY waist-high tackles legal. Would like to see an extra black/green/blue (who cares) card where a ref can say ok you have caused serious harm to a player it was dangerous BUT there was a considerable level of mitigation so that player must be sent off + a sub can replace him so teams stay 15 v 15 BUT the offending team must also lose an additional substitute! you can choose to play 14 men or 15 but you have to sacrifice another sub.
Alternatively is let the TMO room decide on the outcome and give them power to reduce red cards to yellow BUT never yellow cards to nothing as teams would complain time was wasted when it needn't have been it should only apply when red cards are brought out.

  4. to be fair Freddie Steward i seen an Elbow in Head as Freddie steward was jumping i think it was a red card it was the correct call

  5. In "the split second he had to react" he turned from running straight at him to impacting with the shoulder and he jumped!
    Definitely red.

  6. Never a red card. Peyper royally fucked this up. If he knew the wording of the WR guidelines on this, he could have ticked all the boxes for play on no not even a pen! If he wanted to be strict he could have given a yellow. Going in at red and refusing to consider any mitigation down was a farce. Ask yourself this, if the Irish player hadn’t run head first in to Steward, and but had hit his shoulder to the elbow instead, would this have even been a pen.? No it wouldn’t. Just because someone gets an unfortunate knock to the head, doesn’t mean that someone needs to be carded.

  7. That was intentional, he should never have gone for the ball. He would be in a excellent position to see that it was knocked on, the advantage was England's and he gave it away being reckless. You can clearly see him turn his body and lifting his shoulder. Perhaps it was the unintentional outcome of his recklessness but dangerous nonetheless.

Any spectator in the crowd could see he was never going to get there first. It is like 2 players going for the highball, many times there is contact in the air, defensive player lands badly and the attacking player get red for the reckless challenge.
I don't know why it is so hard to grasp… The rules changed, play according to the new rules and stop complaining.

  8. Obviously the game was looking a bit close so they had to cheat to make sure Ireland won! Rubbish decision , the Irish player ducked down and ran into the England players arm, he had no time to go anywhere, total cheats!
