England train ahead of facing Italy in Euro 2024 qualifier

England trained at St George’s Park on Wednesday afternoon ahead of their Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Italy and Ukraine.

The Three Lions were without Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Nick Pope, who all pulled out through injury. Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster was called up to replace the injured Pope.

The two matches are England’s first games of the qualifying phase. On paper, they are also the toughest, the others coming against North Macedonia and Malta.

They will be the first competitive fixtures that England have played since exiting the World Cup against France in Doha.
