Edinson Roberto Cavani Gomez (Spanish: Edinson Roberto Cavani Gómez; born February 14, 1987, Salto), better known simply as Edinson Cavani (Spanish: Edinson Cavani; pronunciation: [ˈeðinsoŋ kaˈβani]) – Uruguayan football club, striker Saint Germain ”and the national team of Uruguay.

On February 6, 2008, he played his first match for the Uruguayan adult team against Colombia and immediately scored his first goal.

In the first match in the group against Ecuador, he scored a goal in the 33rd minute, and his team won a landslide victory 4-0. He was recognized as the best player of the match. In the third match against Chile, he scored a goal and brought victory to his team 1-0.
