      Sorry mate – totally disagree. Prem cards should be served in the Prem – simple. Also – the rule is inconsistent. If he got too many yellows, that ban doesn’t carry over to the cup? But a straight red does…

      I understand where lineker was coming from. It's unfair that a player gets a ban for example in the prem and has to serve it in a cup match. A completely different tournament

      If he receives the red card in the Premier League than he should only be suspended in the premier league.

      If he receives a red in Fa cup, only suspended in FA cup.

      So on and so on.

      It should really be like the UCL.

      Your ban should not go across competitions. It should ONLY be in the same competition.

      Fair enough?
