PSV Supporter attacks Mark Dmitrovic during PSV – Sevilla in the Europa League. An unpleasant incident marred the PSV versus Sevilla match in the intermediate round of the Europa League on Thursday. During the game, a supporter entered the field and attacked Sevilla’s goalkeeper, Marko Dmitrovic. Despite managing to get rid of the attacker, the incident threatens to have negative consequences for PSV, as UEFA tends to be strict in such situations.

At the time of the incident, PSV was leading 1-0 thanks to a goal from Luuk de Jong. However, in the final minutes, Fábio Silva scored a second goal for PSV, but it was not enough for them to advance to the round of 16 of the Europa League.

Even after the final whistle, tensions ran high in the Philips Stadium. Some of the PSV players, including Xavi Simons, were unhappy with the amount of injury time added by the referees. Mauro Júnior even received a red card in the aftermath of the game.
