After Kyle Walker’s record move from Tottenham to Man City, we use the numbers to try and see whether Tottenham made the right call in choosing Kieran Trippier as their number one right back.

  1. Worth remembering that 3 or 4 of trippiers assists came against Watford, we were shite both games against spurs

  2. Walker has the speed Tripper will never have.
Tripper has the technique Walker will never have.

Two different styles of players, will be very interesting to see how Trippier does next season and if he remains first choice or if we bring in someone

  3. I think Trippier got a lot better when he had to fight for the spot with Walker. It made him a different player who had to perform every game to play in the next one. Walker is a big loss for the club but I'm happy Trippier has already proven himself as a very good backup. We don't have to worry about how he handles his job as a regular starter. I would now love to see them sign someone young who could grow alongside Trippier. Maybe even Kyle Walker-Peters from the academy has a chance. His physicality is a weakness though..

  4. Walker definitely has attributes that Guardiola is looking for and Spurs got 50mil. Just need to wait and see how well it works out for both parties.

  5. Levy has played an absolute blinder getting £50m for Walker. For that sort of money City should be getting the next Cafu, which Walker is definately not.

  6. Trippier is not as good as Walker. Kyle Walker has less defending to do because he's such a physical monster. He makes the other team defend by using his pace and power to force them back, making runs up and down the right wing all game long. Trippier can't do that.

Against the lesser teams in the league Trippier is maybe even better than Walker, because Spurs can overpower them in all areas and he can camp in the opposition half and put crosses in. And because his final ball is more effective than Walker's people have been tricked into thinking he's just as good.

But against good opposition, Walker's physical abilities, along with his defensive abilities, pin the other team back, meaning attacks are over before they begin, and Spurs' creative options have more time in the other teams' half than they would have with Trippier on instead.

Basically, if you want a RB to play against Watford, Trippier's your man, if you want a RB to play against Chelsea, Walker is the better choice by a huge margin.

  7. My take on it is that Trippier is one of the best backup RBs about, let's just see how he does with the added pressure of being number one.

  8. that's the problem with stats they don't always tell the full story . I was surprised of the amount of hate/negative comments he was getting on twitter etc . I think they are both decent and are both good depending on what tactics the team want to do . #umaxitgiveaway6

  9. i know you guys are english and all and this is alternative football content
but id really love to see what you guys can do with slightly more relevant topics
cuz those 2 players are garbage in terms of the top class players

  10. My question is what the hell are Man city thinking spending 50$ on a 27yr old RB???! They could easily have bought Ricardo Periera themselves and saved like 30$ Pereira is younger, cheaper and still has a lot of potential but oh wait I forgot that Pep nor Man City are capable of producing players so they just buy ready made products. Idiots. Spurs just did one on City

  11. Another very well explained video from Umaxit. Turns out Poch is right to keep the faith in Trippier if any of Spurs attacking Quartet can get themselves on the end of a Trippier crosses Spurs will have a solid plan B .

  12. Walker is much much faster than trippier and hes stronger than him too which helped Tottenhams aggressive press, and is what will be missed with trippier as the starter

  13. Look where we are now, growing stronger without walker and with that 50 mill have ready made trippier replacement with Sanchez joining from the deal…… I’d say another levy master class, say what you like about tottenham but this is how you run a football club, great business but also building together as a club, shame arsenal can’t say the same! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
