Just that he never takes penalties until the Champions League final is a real show of character. Watching this made me realize how grand of a person and player Ilkay is. A true leader, and maybe Citys best Captain ever to be.

İlkay implied his pace could be lower. But by saying "mental pace" you can clearly see his anticipation, decisions, vision are on top level.
He is the type of midfielder with greens on the mental part of FM stats.
