Undefeated boxer, Omar “Super O” Douglas, and Frank De Alba took to the ring in a 10 Round showdown on PBC on Spike, December 29, 2015.
A confident “Super O” Douglas stepped in to the right KOing out the three previous southpaw fighters he faced. His confidence in doing the same to De Alba almost cost him to fight.
Douglas took the fight to De Alba from the start, setting up combinations with his jam and right hand. Despite his efforts, he was unable to waver the drive of the Puerto Rican De Alba and his counters in the middle rounds.
As the fight progressed, Douglas pounded the body of De Alba and slowed down the fighter. It was in the eighth round that Douglas seized his opportunity. He connected with a clean left hook that shook Frank De Alba momentarily.
Although De Alba fought back, connecting with crosses and hooks that made the card closer for the judges, it was Omar Douglas who edged out De Alba and remained undefeated (95-95, 96-94, 97-93).
