Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up a potential move for Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams this summer. Williams was reportedly a target for Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window, as they were tempted to pay his €50m (£43.1m) release clause.
As per Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the Gunners are one of the favourites to sign Williams this summer, alongside fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool. Williams would add quality squad depth at the Emirates Stadium, especially considering that the North Londoners are likely going to be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season given their league position.
Interestingly, Williams says that his dribbling skills in particular are ‘like‘ world superstars Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Ousmane Dembele, evident by the fact that he ranks in the 95th percentile for progressive carries per game of all wingers in Europe’s top five leagues over the past year.
