Koulibaly wasn't on the pitch when Azpi was fouled
Frank is too stupid to realize his argument can be made in reverse. One could say that the defender endangered himself and the attacker by putting his head in. The point is: the rules aren't clear which is what Mark was saying
Koulibaly ???
Pretty sure that same referee gave Felix a red card for a high foot challenge he pulled out of and the guy wasn’t injured but then a guy flying kicks someone in the face and could of killed him and there was no card…
If an attacker misses the ball completely and he catches the defender then I say the referee has to make a decision. But in those situations attackers act on instinct to make the finish, defenders should protect themselves. If the attacker is already putting in the bicycle kick don't put your head on the line.
When a defender puts in a last second tackle, a hard tackle, attacker protects himself and jumps away. They understand challenging for the ball could mean an injury.
Attackers and defenders should both be sensible. Cristiano Ronaldo bicycle kick against Juventus CL match, you can see the defender protecting himself and stopped himself for challenging the ball.
Franckie is right on. Mara should have been sent off/straight red card after that play. Law should be simple: Endangering of health/life of opposing player with a high boot = a straight red card and 3 match suspension. I guess they will finally adjust the rule after a player is unable to continue his career due to such incident. Sucks for Chelsea, they can't score goals and their opposition don't even get red carded when they should.
John Terry was the greatest footballer ever, demonstrated by the FA cup semi final where he put his head in front of a scissor kick and was promptly knocked out. And he fu!ly saw the kick coming and did it anyway. That is a footballer
Player safety is a priority. That is a clear and obvious red card for violent conduct.
So, if a goalie comes out to clear a corner and hits his own defender on the face, accidentally, & injures him the same way Azpilicueta was against Southampton, will you make the same argument?!
That's the same logic with anything in life, let alone soccer. Do you drive afraid after getting in an accident?
I
This is a part of the game, and injuries happen. My, how these former players have gotten soft.
All hail sir frank lebouf
on that thinking get rid of heading as its worse then keep oh kicks
frank should retreat to some debile home, such a non-sense babbeling, like the whole gra-pap-poops
Remember when sadio mane getting a red card after kicking ederson .
Easy, if its a goal, let them, if you kicked a defender out.. Red card..
The problem with what Craig said for me is how do you decide where to draw the line on what should be allowed and what is too dangerous?
Okay, the bicycle kick in the box is dangerous, but so is a keeper coming out to punch a ball away from another player trying to head it, so is two players jumping and potentially clashing heads, so is players lunging in for last ditch challenges and so is defenders diving to block shots at point blank range.
How many components of the game will you have to remove before you are satisfied, and what if it isn't enough for someone else?
Pundits are just going in on refs at the moment, having old refs explain things and getting refs to listen to pundits to try and decide how to ref games meand they are chasing their tails trying to keep people happy. It's resulting in referees being worse because they're constantly second guessing themselves
reminds of the dude who tackled Luke SHOW and he got a double leg fracture… the refree didnt even give even a yellow card……
ChelseaFC must sell and do not put these players on loan this summer 2023 namely: Mount, Havertz, Kante, Ziyech, Aubameyang, Pulisic, Koulibaly, Azpilicueta, Gallagher, Bettinelli.
That leg kick that Neymar got Sunday leading to him to twist his ankle looked like a intentional & endangering kick but yet VAR doesn’t even take 30 seconds to look at it
My main question is : What is dangerous play? How do we define that?
So what about when a defender goes down low with the head it's much to do about nothing….
N Frank is spot on he's right
Frank is right if you want bicycle kick there should be risk
Real talk Frank
Okay heading a football is literally factually more dangerous and causes more long term mental damage to player than bicycle kicks. I mean I just witnessed one former ref and Dan talk with 3 guys who let their cte show. Oof. Bad takes.
Get on with the game 🎮 moan less and get a 90% wages pay cut .Card shud be given to planed Malicious "players" not to those that their intentions is to play El balon but can't avoid contact.🪦⚰
