How Heung-min Son’s new role off bench affects Tottenham, Harry Kane | Premier League | NBC Sports

  1. Playing as a sub was already expected, and Son realized that he could be a sub if he could not prove himself no matter whether he earned the golden boots for the last season. As a big fan of Son for over 10 years, I hope that it could be a positive impact for him to be bounced back to where he used to be as a world-class winger.

  2. I just see it’s probably the end of Son and Spurs ride. Team is bigger than a player(except Kane is bigger than Spurs most cases) so he Spurs drops Son and go on a winning streak, which I see it never happen, that should be better. However, a big player like Son isn’t there to play off the bench, especially no one is actually playing better than him(Kulu or Richy). Also, he isn’t a he grown, just a foreign player so like Spurs just abandoned Jan Vertonghen, he will get dumped so he might as well look for other team before it’s too late.

  3. Mo Sala hardly scored this season but still starts every game for Liverpool. Harry Kane had a long dry spell last season but started every game when he was fit. Heung Min Son enjoys no such benefit of doubt. As an Asian athlete in European sports you need to prove yourself again and again.

  4. Sonny was on the bench 3 times already. More than Mourinho era.
I am sure. He leaves Spurs this summer.
Only needs 2 goal and 1 assist at PL.
    Sonny is the best 🤍

  5. Sonny, What your loved ones were worried about the last contract extension eventually happens. Think like an Englishman, like a European. Don't think like a Korean! Korean-style loyalty doesn't help you in the business. Go to the winning team for you and your fans. No one would call you selfish.
