SABITZER RED CARD TACKLE VS WOUT FAES DURING MANCHESTER UNITED VS LEICESTER CITY CLASH.

There was a controversial moment towards the end of the first half as United loanee Sabitzer was incredibly late and high on Faes’ knee.

Sabitzer nowhere the ball and caught Faes badly. Surprisingly though, he didn’t even get a yellow card for the tackle and there was no VAR review, meaning the Austrian was let off the hook completely.

However it continued to look even worse with the replays and at half-time, Souness, a man known for his nastiness on the pitch, was adamant that Sabitzer deserved to be dismissed.

  1. IMO, its a bad challenge, he does go for the ball and the only saving grace is that he didnt follow through to cause damage to Wout Faes. This is why theres nothing going

  2. Listen…… if the tackle was malicious or had excessive force to it………… the leicster player wouldn't be able to stand as he would have had a broken leg or a gash wound none of which he got. You must be able to tackle, they both went for the ball, one got there before the other….. nothing to see here

  3. The Ref has a clear view of that atrocious tackle which could have ended a Players career and why Sabitzer is not sent off is bewildering, and made even more so by VAR not commenting either. This sort of incident just brings the Ref's and VAR who can see it in slow motion and replay it many times into disrepute and Garth Crook's comment about the Ref being sacked I think is quite possibly justified.
