That's bad, but no where near what happened to this hockey player, Richard Zednik. He was skating and someone fell and their skate blade cut his neck artery open and he lost almost a pound of blood.

That display is EXACTLY why these different sports and "competition" in general was invented. And in society as we see it today we NEED that. It is a VITAL part of us today. The injury itself may be why some people want to BAN contact sports but the display after is why we MUST not.
