Manchester United winger Amad has dropped a hint that his return from injury is imminent. The Ivory Coast international has yet to make a single appearance this season after picking up a knock.
The 24-year-old sustained the injury on the eve of the Premier League opener against Hull City. Amad had featured in every one of Ivory Coast’s matches at the FIFA World Cup over the summer, netting in the victory over Ecuador before bowing out in the Round of 32 defeat against Norway.
Following an extended summer break due to his involvement in the tournament, Amad returned to United and took part in preseason fixtures as preparations for the new campaign intensified.

Having sat out the last seven games across all competitions, Amad has signaled that his comeback is just around the corner. Taking to his Instagram story, he posted a throwback photo of himself at Old Trafford from last season, accompanied by an egg timer and a frustrated face emoji, as per the Manchester Evening News.
The ongoing international break gives him additional time to ramp up his recovery before the Premier League resumes. United’s next fixture is on Saturday, October 10, when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford.
Prior to the international break, interim manager Michael Carrick provided an encouraging update on the winger’s condition. “Amad, hopefully, by the time we get back, he will have trained with the group. That’s a positive,” he said.
The potential return of Amad would represent a significant boost for Carrick. The winger featured 32 times in the Premier League last season, contributing two goals and four assists.

This news comes as the United manager has been dealing with a number of injury concerns during the international break. Full-back Noussair Mazraoui was substituted during Morocco’s victory over Lesotho on Tuesday.
Patrick Dorgu is also a fitness doubt after being forced off the field during Denmark’s win over Wales on Sunday. Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, and Benjamin Šeško all withdrew from their respective international squads prior to the break.
Concerns were also raised over Bruno Fernandes, who sat out Portugal’s victory over Norway on Sunday. However, the United captain appears to be on track to feature in Thursday’s match against Denmark, having returned to training ahead of that fixture.
Should the United captain feature in Portugal’s third UEFA Nations League match of the current window, he’ll be doing so without Cristiano Ronaldo alongside him after the 41-year-old stunningly withdrew from camp on Wednesday.
