  1. The reality is the Qatari’s would deliver a lot in the transfer window, club will not be run to make the owner money, they will redevelop the stadium and the area around too and also clear the debt. All that sounds fantastic. Then there’s the whole human rights issue that’s the concerning part.

Meanwhile SJR will be taking a loan out and that’ll bring more debt but putting that on his company Ineos. He won’t be able to finance the redevelop and potentially a new build of a new stadium.

  2. Ineos tried to buy Chelsea for the same reason they want United, and the same reason as the Qatari's: Sportswashing. And for Jim Ratcliffe specifically, he's a United supporter, so it's a win-win if Ineos succeed in their bid. Petrochemicals and Plastic production isn't as popular as it used to be, especially when your ocean pollution record is abysmal. Qatar has a much greater need for sportswashing than Ineos though.

  3. SJR here for sports washing
    Qataris here for the prestige

Its true none of them wants to make money out of the club. I don't expect any of them to take dividends out of the club!

  4. Kavi struggling and not giving his usual rambling repetitive monologue when someone asks him a half decent question.

  5. There is an estimate of 1 billion Manchester United fans in the world. If we all created a company and chipped in 10 euros each, the company could make a bid of 10 billion euros. The fans have control and make a vote on every decision and highest vote wins!
