Leeds United’s purchase of Jean-Matteo Bahoya will become official once he hits 10 appearances under Daniel Farke.
Leeds managed one of the best transfer windows of any club in the Premier League during the summer. It was capped off brilliantly by the signing of Jean-Matteo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The French winger joined on an initial loan from the Bundesliga club, but is expected to make his stay here permanent in due course.

Leeds will be looking to make Bahoya’s move a permanent one for a £25.7million fee, subject to the winger triggering certain clauses.
It’s common knowledge already that the Frenchman is going to become a new long-term addition to the squad. Now, Bild report the specific conditions that Bahoya needs to meet.
They share that Bahoya needs to make 10 appearances in a Leeds shirt for his £25.7million deal to be signed.
Of course, Bahoya made his debut in stoppage time against Crystal Palace to mean he only needs nine more. The report also outlines that any appearance, no matter how small a cameo, counts to this total.

The same report also notes another clause agreed by Eintracht and United for Bahoya in the future.
Given the winger’s undoubted talent, the presence of a sell-on clause shouldn’t be too much of a surprise here. It’s claimed Eintracht are due 15% from any future sale.
Importantly, this percentage is likely to pertain to any profit made by Leeds on top of the £25.7million fee. So, Leeds would give 15% of the money on top of that fee to Eintracht, in the event of Bahoya leaving Elland Road for big money.
For instance: Should Leeds sell Bahoya for £75million in two years’ time (wishful I know), Eintracht would take a 15% cut of the circa-£50million profit, which works out around £7.4million.
