Everton could have three players involved at Wembley tonight as England begin their Nations League campaign against world champions Spain.
Jordan Pickford, Jarrad Branthwaite and James Garner are all part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the four-match international window, giving Blues supporters plenty of interest in the 7.45pm kick-off.

Pickford is comfortably the most experienced of the three. The Everton goalkeeper has made 91 England appearances and kept 46 clean sheets, with James Trafford and Jason Steele the other goalkeepers in Tuchel’s squad.
Branthwaite’s return is one of the more interesting Everton stories of the international break. The centre-back has just one senior cap, having made his debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2024, but his start to the season under David Moyes has earned him another opportunity. This is the first time Branthwaite has worked with Tuchel at senior international level.
Garner wasn’t included in the original squad but was called up on Monday after Tino Livramento, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice withdrew. The Everton midfielder won his first two senior caps in March and now has another opportunity to add to that total during England’s four-game Nations League programme.

England’s meeting with Spain is the first of four Nations League fixtures during this international window.
Tuchel’s side travel to Czechia on Tuesday before facing Croatia in Rijeka next Saturday. They then return to Wembley to face Czechia again on Tuesday 6 October.
For Everton supporters, the team sheet tonight will be worth watching. Pickford goes into the game as England’s senior goalkeeper, while Branthwaite will hope for an opportunity to add to his solitary cap. Garner’s late call-up puts him back in the senior set-up only six months after making his debut.
Whether all three get onto the Wembley pitch remains to be seen, but Everton will have an unusually strong presence in the England squad when the Nations League gets underway tonight.
