Here’s how crazy it is: the only way this plan is a good thing is if Mick McCarthy does a good job but not so good that people demand he stays behind 2020. So, basically the FAI are hoping he gets us to the Euros but doesn’t do well in the competition.
Madness.
If any single decision shows why Delaney should be nowhere near Irish football, this decision is it.
"If Mick did well at the Euros.."
The whole argument starts in a fantasy land
Delaney is an idiot
Delaney is desperate to hold onto his easy €€€ earner
Mick is the Manager
Terry is the Assistant
Whats Robbie ?
Delaney protecting his power base and has shortchanged both Mick McCarthy and Stephen Kenny plus Irish football the real looser.
"Why would you limit your options?" Could not have put it better myself.
Does Robbie have his badges. Seems quite dim and has an annoying accent with terrible vocabulary.
Delaney will be VP of UEFA in 2 years, that's the key point. Hes a smart man. He's kept everyone happy. Maybe it'll work out, maybe it won't.
Next Kevin Kilbane will become manager after Kenny is gone typical John Delaney useless man. 😕
Delaney only worries about self preservation and the big uefa job on the horizon. This managerial setup is nuts.
with the players we have now the manager does not matter you cannot make race horses out of donkeys
Delaney has done it again. Appointed both favoured candidates and taken the heat off himself. Soccer fans are easily distracted.
Turned it off because the presenter wouldnt stop talking.
Delaney go!!! You have doñe nothing to improve soccer in Ireland.
Mick mccarthy is a terrible manager
