Duke rolled to a road victory in the JMA Dome, beating Syracuse 77-55. It was one of the Blue Devils’ best performances of the season, as they shot 55% from the floor, including 13-26 from beyond the arc. They also went +13 on the glass. Jeremy Roach scored a team-high 17 points with 3 assists and 2 rebounds. Kyle Filipowski had a 14-point, 12-rebound double double. Dariq Whitehead had 14 points on an efficient 5-7 performance from the field. For the Orange, Joe Girard and Judah Mintz combined for 39 points in the loss.

Best game all year, hope it carries over for the rest of the season. Might’ve been the zone that caused the good looks, but for the most part the devils handled the press and zone really well. This team is maturing, pretty dangerous if they close the season strong.

Jon Scheyer finally got the rotations right. He’s been playing Grandison and Ryan young way too much. They are too big of liabilities on defense that the little offense they give don’t even matter. He played them in tiny spurts to give players a breather like he should’ve been doing all year

Not to put a damper on everyone's enthusiasm about beating the Cuse, but as a Syracuse fan let me tell you SU basketball is middling at best. It's not like Duke beat a good team. This is probably Boeheim's 3rd worst team ever. It might be the second worst because I think the 81-82 would smoke this team. Plus Duke has six draft picks on the team and the 2nd best class next season. Duke played well, but there isn't one future pro on the Cuse and that includes Edwards and Mintz. Plus they shot over the outdated 2-3 zone which almost every team on the schedule has taken advantage of. Well any how good luck in the tourney and congrats on the win. Hopefully Wildhack will grow a pair and fire Jim next season. I doubt it. Go Cuse!!! 🏀🍊💪
