Tottenham will be looking for their first victory of the season in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, but face a difficult test against Liverpool at Anfield, writes JOE CITRONE.

Liverpool were left frustrated at the weekend as a home match with Fulham, one that Andoni Iraola’s side will have expected to win, ended in a frustrating goalless draw.

They do have the opportunity to bounce back, though, on Tuesday night against a Spurs side in real turmoil.

    ⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

It has been a dismal start to Spurs’ league campaign, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side still yet to score a Premier League goal – and, obviously, still without a win as a result of those woes in front of goal.

They would have hoped to use this EFL Cup tie as an opportunity to get that first win on the board, but they’ve been handed a very tough draw away at Liverpool. It means things could get even worse before they get better from a Spurs point of view.

Considering Spurs’ dismal record in front of goal recently, I like the look of a Liverpool win to nil here at 3/1 with starsports.bet.
