Some of the changes Tata Martino has made since taking over FC Barcelona including verticalidad and pressing. Tried to make it fun and not go into too much depth. Hope you like 🙂
(Sorry, I forgot to mention Man Marking on corners and set pieces)

Very clever by Martino. Relieves Xavi & Iniesta from their defensive duties to get the most out of their abilities. By both having them high up the pitch in a theoretical line creates a triangle with Messi, which should, without effort, be able to play themselves out of any situation to each other or another player.
Love your channel, Keep it up!
Nice work Mezzala. You did this yourself, worked it out yourself? You know your football.
Nothing new tbh (except that the pressing is back).
Brilliant insight into how Barca have changed under Martino
Your noob tika taka dosn't have one option only look at Xavi's position with Tata
"Look how high Xavi is." I see what you did there. :))
We need xavi and Iniesta to be more creative
If that is the case, is Xavi best suited for this job? wasn't Thiago a better option to play as no.10 or now Sergi Roberto is a better option instead of Xavi in playing higher up the pitch. Barca won't get many open games like Valencia 3-2 in champions league where Xavi can sit deep and create. I think Sergi Roberto should come up in the team in tighter defence inplace of Xavi, if Xavi is going to play higher up the pitch.
nice… thanks
good job.
Visca El Barça
Visca Tata
It sure is a good way to improve the game, because in CL last season there was clearly a lack of creativity in the team.
Everything has a price though.. Pressing so hard with the Centerbacks to the midfield will result in weakness when facing counter-attacks from the opponent. The reason is that Barcelona does not have the defenders with a proper quality. The CB's are in for a hard task with this tactic and they need a new CB to pull it off. because they don't have the quality at this point.
Great music for the video!
It's not like deleting the comment is gonna change anything.. 😉
I would like to see more 1-2's in Tata's Barca, like the ones in 2010-11. Also, in the Espanyol match, the team lacked the killer instinct, they had so many chances to take a shot or threaten their goalkeeper, but just scored 1 goal.
Besides this, Barca definitely improved compared to last season!
I kinda of feel that the team was not succeeding against teams which park bus against them last season because we lacked a lot off the ball movements and so theywere not able to have much passing options maybe cuz Xavi and Iniesta are losing their mobility over time and the fact that we did not use the wings as much as we do now or in 2010-2012.we have never seen or heard in the past of such teams succeeding against team
@***** xavi, busquts and iniesta are not loosing form and they never will. Messi can play at the wing and as a false 9, because if we remember when he first was playing he played in the wing. Visca el barca i visca catalunya!
Reason why we lost to Valencia, our CB were not at the back forth but at midfield. A counter attack would break the defense.
Shows how important off the ball movement is to Barca's success.
This is great. Really informative in an easy to digest form. If I can make a suggestion, would be great to see what the tradeoffs are of the new tactics. What vulnerabilities result from the new style of play?
man, i think ur analysis is based on 2 or 3 matches that barca won. i can't see any change in their boring style that all teams now know how 2 handle.
Can u please create a video on Luis Enrique tactics on Barcelona
Name song please
