Over 1.7million managers activate the chip, with nearly 92 per cent entrusting Man City’s Erling Haaland
A RECORD has been set in Gameweek 3 of Fantasy Premier League, with over 1.7million managers using the Triple Captain chip, surpassing the previous high of 1.5m set in Double Gameweek 25 of 2023/24 Fantasy.
Of those, nearly 92 per cent have chosen to Triple Captain Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (£15.5m).
The Norwegian will be looking forward to the enticing home fixture against Coventry City: in 18 previous starts against Premier League newcomers, he’s amassed 137 points, courtesy of 18 goals, four assists and 19 bonus points.

In addition, more than 2.1m managers have snapped up Rayan Cherki (£7.7m) for Man City’s home contest versus Coventry, making him the second most-bought player in a Gameweek EVER.
