Just like his time under Jose, I believe if he stayed with Ten Hag . He would have been amazing especially with Casemiro in midfield allowing him to play his usual game .

He just doesn’t belong in Modern Football. Every player has to pull their weight now, so the idea of him “roaming free” whilst Casemiro holds the line isn’t realistic. It worked at Juve because Pep ball wasn’t universal at that point, and it worked for France because they had the best international crop of players and one of the literal best DMs of all time in Kante. He absolutely wouldn’t work in an ETH team, because Utd actually attack and defend as a whole unit now, there’s no room for “Mavericks” in this current era.

I don't know how this guy has managed to pull the wool over so many people's eyes for so long. His time at United for the fee paid was somewhere between a complete disappointment and a disaster. He has virtually zero positional awareness and ability to do the basics right in this position (what is his position BTW?). And his attitude and demeanour is not exactly exemplary. And yet people still get misty eyed about him. I just don't get it.
