The group, part of a team coached by James Illingworth and Gavin Coonan, have earned spots at academies across the country following years of dedication and success.
James said: “We’ve been so lucky to have the best set of boys for the past three years; it’s absolutely fantastic for these wonderful footballers, but even better kids, to sign for their respective academies.
“They have worked tirelessly, chipping away week in, week out with their training. They’ve had various ups and downs but have show great resilience and work ethic.”
Seth’s teammates Frank Tongue, Ollie Emmett, Harry Coonan, Oliver Webster, Walter Hill and Josh Illingworth have signed for Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Mansfield Town, Leeds United and Huddersfield Town respectively.
The players spent most of their time playing up a year in the top leagues, including the Garforth and Huddersfield leagues.
They originally played in their correct age group, but after winning some matches by more than 40 goals, league organisers decided to move them up to ensure fairer competition.
James said: “Having one child sign for an academy is amazing, but seven of them, who 90% live within a 10-15 minute drive from Horsfall Stadium, is a massive achievement and something we are all very proud of.”
He also thanked Bash and Hassan at Frame2 in BD3, where the boys trained most weekends when matches were cancelled.
Illingworth said: “A special mention must also go to Bash and Hassan at Frame2 in BD3, where the lads trained most weekends if our games were called off, or would train there on a Saturday.
“It’s a great environment for any kid to learn their trade and develop as players; I’d highly recommend it.”
He also credited the boys’ first coach, Joe Brown, for his early guidance.
Both coaches will now step back as their own sons are among those who have signed academy contracts.
Illingworth said: “We are really sad to be walking away from this fantastic group of boys.”
