    Celtic have made an official £1.8M bid for Korean striker Oh Hyun-kyu | Oh Hyeon-gyu.

    Oh Hyeon-gyu (Korean: 오현규; born 12 April 2001) is a South Korean footballer who plays as a forward for the K League 1 club Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

    The Suwon Samsung Bluewings player has confirmed this report & stated his desire to join Celtic.

      Not sure of the standard of opponent but he looks good. Hopefully Ange brings in someone who will genuinely challenge to start and not just make up numbers ! 🍀🍀

      I personally don’t think you ever learn anything from these videos. Other than maybe his preferred foot. And I don’t know if Celtic are interested or not but my trust in Ange is absolute right now and if he tells me he’s a player, then I believe he’s a player.

      Hard to judge. Always watch the goals twice, first time to see his touch,movement, pace, finishing etc. Second time watch the standard of the GKs and defenders, to see what he's up against.
      Some of his goals the GKs are pathetic, others the defenders are Powderpuff.
      He looks pacey, direct and has a decent shot and looks decent in the air but he would need time to adapt to the Scottish game. 6/10 for me

      For the last few years Korea has been my dream. I love the respect in their culture, their scenery and architecture is some of the most beautiful in the world and it’s a totally different place to Europe. Personally I would LOVE Celtic to sign a few South Korean players, so a HUGE welcome to Oh Hyeon-Gyu! 🇰🇷🍀

      I think he has a lot of advantages as a striker. He has a lot of activity when you look at the heat map and the strong pressure that hinders the opponent's build-up from the front. Celtic now has Kyogo Furuhashi after a great attack, but Kyogo can see the wing and his playstyle is very different from Hyungyu, so it is expected that he will go and get opportunities often.
