Bukayo Saka’s sensational strike against Manchester United has topped our poll to claim January’s Goal of the Month.

The winger beat off competition from a number of netbusters scored by our men’s, women’s and academy teams to land the award, scooping 53 per cent of the votes to land the prize.

Bukayo’s moment came in the 53rd minute of the game at Emirates Stadium. With the score locked at 1-1, he received the ball on the right flank from Takehiro Tomiyasu, managed to evade Christian Eriksen and then after creating the yard of space he required, unleashed a rocket of a shot from 25 yards that fizzed past David de Gea and into the bottom corner to send our supporters into bedlam.

That saw him claim a runaway victory in our vote, with Michelle Agyemang’s neat control and finish against Leeds coming in second place with 24 per cent, while Martin Odegaard’s finish against Tottenham Hotspur picking up 12 per cent to finish third

  1. If we play the same line we vs Everton Bradford. We can’t beat man city, believe me.
But if we come in the lineup we vs man United and spurs. 💯 we will destroy man city,

  2. Incredible. But Saka is blocked by many opponents nowadays, because there is no Jesus to attract the opposition's defenders with his hold-up play, trickeries and dribbling skills

  3. Saka had creative alternatives that could have led to even more obvious opportunities – Ødegaard did not have anyone to pass to that would increase the certainty for a goal.
    – Thereby Ødegaard's goal is the reward winner !

  4. Pull this off tomorrow as a winner my man and double Legend status assured… 0:14 The best of luck to you and all the fellas. Coyg. Although 0:19 or 1:14 will be great…. Edit:: even a nervy own goal of any kind will greatly be accepted…. COYG

  5. Arsenal 1-1 / 2-2 Manchester City

Manchester City come to the Emirates with the chance to take the edge off Arsenal in the title race. Pep Guardiola’s side have a big opportunity to stamp their authority in the chase. But the Gunners will likely stand tall in the face of such a mammoth challenge.

The hosts have a stellar home record this term and have had more overall consistency than Manchester City. Some may even suggest that Arsenal could win this battle at the Emirates. But a draw may seem more likely to result in this gigantic clash in north London.

  6. Arsenal jst needs a Good striker at the moment! And another approach to how we deliver the balls to the strikers up front (pullouts). The coach went for Jorginho, his first match even as a sub, we got our first lost for the Year! -imagine😩
