Ethan Ampadu has been loaned out to Sheffield United for the season which will see the Welshman gain some valuable Premier League experience.

I have to say I find the recent links with Soumare of Lille interesting as an alternative to Declan Rice. Similar age, more technical and very powerful and explosive, although he would not be able to fill in in central defense he is exactly the type of player we need in defensive midfield. Apparently he rejected a move to Newcastle which Lille had accepted at around € 30-35m so he would likely be half price of Declan Rice. With the amount of money we have spent already it sounds like something that could happen, if indeed we are looking at him.
