  1. Probably because he wasn’t white and that’s why he “felt threatened” even though he wasn’t even close to him like the others 😭

  2. Ref has seen wolves players out the corner of his eye running towards him. He didn't look up he just pulled the card and raised it. As he saw who he'd given it too you can see his face drop because he knows he's already booked him and he didn't deserve another one.

  3. So basically, the ref sent the Wolves player off because he was scared of players coming up to him and confronting him. Well if you are frightened of that then don't be a ref.

  4. I think Ruben Neves kept perfect control and calm during the interview knowing that one word out of place would have landed him in trouble. Why is it that referees are so untouchable, they can have a really bad game make awful decisions and then just go home afterwards….there is no come back no explanation……Isnt it time that after a game there should be a referees post match interview?—or is that just expecting too much .

  5. if he gets frightened in the premiership over some players asking questions he needs to be stripped of his referee licence. When was the last time a premiership player assaulted a referee? Its not sunday league, what a joke

  6. Other referees will start to over enforce this niche rule now so it looks like this was the correct decision and something that they've always done.

  7. i truly believe this for all major sports, where there is a governing body, if there are refs or judges and their decisions clearly result to uproar or clear indication of wrong doing, they should have to explain to a governing body their reasons for their actions. a video should be played and they should outline why they though what they thought, if they cannot successfully do this with a governing body they should be suspended and put on a training course because this is ridiculous, whether its refs or judges in combat sports, clearly making horrible decisions, you might be ruining peoples lives

  8. No other comment saying it clearly soI'll do it. Two Southern European, white-passing players came up to a ref, then a black player did without saying anything and got a second yellow for what the referee says is 'threatening him'. R A C I S M

  9. Refs need to have the possibility of being sacked, enough is enough. Genuinely how many corrupt decisions does it take before they face the consequences?
