Jonathan David | Canadian Striker Skills
Jonathan Christian David (eng. Jonathan Christian David; born January 14, 2000, Brooklyn, New York, USA) is a Canadian footballer who plays as a striker for Lille Club and the Canadian national team.
David is a graduate of the Ottawa Internationals football center. At the beginning of 2018, Jonathan signed a contract with the Belgian Gent and began playing for the youth team. On August 4, in a match against Zulte Waregem, he made his debut in the Jupiler League, replacing Roman Yaremchuk in the second half. In the same match, David scored his first goal for Gent. After scoring 5 goals in his first five games, his contract was extended until 2022. In 2020, together with Dieumerci Mbokani, he became the top scorer of the championship, scoring 18 goals.
In the summer of 2020, David moved to the French “Lille”, signing a contract for 5 years. The transfer amount was 30 million euros.
