Nottingham Forest are in the market to sign a number of new players during the summer transfer window.

New head coach Oliver Glasner is getting his ducks in a row, assessing his new group of players, and he will almost certainly be happy with the tools available at his disposal.

Can James McAtee earn a reprieve under Oliver Glasner? Where do you see him playing in a new-look Forest team?

Ousmane Diomande looks like he will sign from Sporting CP as a new central defender recruit, with a right-back, central midfielder and striker all thought to be on the shortlist of targets.

Now, Forest are getting linked with a number of new players, and a familiar target is doing the rounds once again.

The Galatasaray player is once again being linked with Forest, with Steve Cooper and Nuno Espirito Santo previously linked with adding him to the ranks.

According to Kagan Dursun, Forest are in discussions with Galatasaray over a deal for the versatile forward as he prepares to leave his current club.

Yilmaz has been with the Turkish giants for five years and now looks set to sample a top European division with clubs in the Premier League and Serie A eyeing a move.

During the 2025/26 campaign, Yilmaz scored 12 goals and claimed 16 assists, with clubs now monitoring his progress very carefully.

Last season he made appearances as a winger, a striker and as a number 10, with that level of versatility likely to be appealing to potential suitors – including Forest.

Glasner will want players who can be versatile as he weighs up how to play with Forest, and there will be certain moments in games when he looks to utilise different formations.

Yilmaz is only 26 and with a feast of goals and assists to his name last season, there would be a sense that the player would make a very useful addition to the squad should he sign for Forest this summer.
