Nottingham Forest are being backed to have a memorable season under Oliver Glasner when the new term kicks off.
In the Austrian, the Reds have brought in a proven winner. Glasner helped Crystal Palace secure the first pieces of silverware in their history – leading them to the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League – before departing at the end of last term.
The aim is for him to repeat such success on the banks of the Trent. And it seems plenty of Forest fans are confident he can help the club to push on.
The Nottingham Post asked supporters to vote for where they think the Reds will finish in the Premier League table in 2026/27. Almost half (46%) of those who took part tipped Glasner’s men to finish between sixth and 10th place.

Securing European football is the aim for Forest. They got a taste of it last time around with their brilliant run to the Europa League semi-finals.
With that in mind, 10% of respondents to our survey said the Reds will finish in the top five of the table. Some clearly feel it might take time for Glasner to get the club to where they want to be, with 35% predicting a finish of somewhere between 11th and 14th.
What Forest are really keen to avoid is another relegation battle, after scrapping for survival in 2025/26 amid four head coaches coming and going. Finishing 15th to 17th is on the cards for Glasner’s men, according to 6% of voters, while 3% fear relegation is a possibility.

Simon Oscroft: Let’s be really realistic here. And I put my prediction before we have made any top notch signings. A lot of clubs have spent a lot of money this summer. So the likes of Spurs, Chelsea etc are probably going to be a lot stronger this season. So a 11th to 14th finish is getable, anything higher is a real bonus
Ian Clarke: A lot of teams in Europe could struggle in the league. Top 8 finish and a trophy
Neil Weaver: I’ve not had last season erased from my mind, where we spent most of it in the bottom three all thereabouts so for me, it’s all about who we bring in to strengthen the best 11. I think people are underestimating how good Anderson was for us. the recruitment has to be right this year or we will be fighting out with Coventry, who are a better team than people think and give credit for
Tim Johns: As squad is, 13-16th. Get a decent cb, wingback, cm, striker and wide attacker 8-10th

Colin Huggan: 6th
Kieron Farrell: 8th to 10th
Mark Wallis: 11th-14th will be a realistic aim
