Granit Xhaka is one of Arsenal’s most important players and they’re on track to win the Premier League for the first time in 20 years.

But it was only three years ago that Xhaka’s time at Arsenal looked like it was over with fans wanting him out of their club after he was booed off the pitch and threw his shirt on the ground.

So how has he managed to comeback from one of the biggest public downfalls I’ve ever see?

He has one of the greatest redemption stories in football.

Thanks for watching the Rise, Fall and Rise Again of Granit Xhaka. If you’ve enjoyed the video then leaving a like would really help me out and subscribe for a new video every week – W2F 🙂

  1. Always thought Xhaka was unfairly scapegoated at Arsenal. The fact that he's the only one who survived it all says it all. Dude was always class, which is why he always played, just was used in the wrong position with horrible players around him. Never seen a bigger agenda against a single player, even the refs and the media were in on it. His coaches never had a problem with him.

  2. You guys made a great video but you actually missed out one of the most vital reasons as to why Xhaka threw the armband on the floor and started swearing at the fans. It’s cause they were making disgusting comments about him, his wife and the rest of his family. It wasn’t just for out of spite. He was inconsistent but got so much unnecessary hate for being played out of position in a role which is incredibly difficult to play at the highest level and especially when there are so few who can play it well. He’s always been a box-to-box, but he clearly loved the club and respected the gaffers he played for and would do what was necessary. We treated him like shit and even now he’s on the rise if I’m being we don’t deserve to have seen his utilisation purely for how terribly we treated him.
