Celtic have singed players such as Alistair Johnston & Hyeon-gyu Oh whilst Rangers signed Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin.
St Mirren got Tony Watt in on loan. Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts and other clubs within the Scottish Premiership were also busy this January.
Who won the window? Let me know in the comments!

I know who didnβt win ! Aberdeen punted their manager & their captain scampered back to England on a 6 month loan.
Watt is an absolute charlatan. Only turns up when heβs looking for a move.
Who made the best signing this winter????
I hate rangers but I really like Cantwell.
The same team that wins every thing else in Scotland π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ πππ

I totally thought I was getting a video on the best SINGING in Scotland. I was slightly disappointed, but I got over it; and ended up really enjoying the video.
Of course it's the rangers signings π
Can't wait to see Matthew Hoppe for Hibs. He's got a lot of attitude, and a really good promise. Nice to see more Yanks moving in. There needs to be a good pipeline between MLS and the SPL.
U need to go to East kilbride again bro new signings are looking brilliant
Abildgaard was only at Celtic on loan from Rubin Kazan so his move to Verona wouldnβt have earned Celtic any cash regardless
Taking the money side of things out of the equation because we all know Celtic are the financial runaway.
Celtic made some clever moves to shift out some of the deadwood and wantaways and brought in more quality. Oh looks like a player! That ball he whipped in for Dizen was deadly. Kobo looked strong in his 1st game. Awata gives us more depth in key areas. AJ is a character that would make the dressing room more inspiring.
Can't say I've seen anything from the new rangers lads but it was an area of the pitch where they have a few older players and they never replaced arebo IMP. Tilmin just looks like he thinks he has more time to hold the ball at times rather than pick out the right pass or just hit it. I think rangers are preparing to reinvent a rather legged midfield. Bonus for them now Hagi is back, I think they've missed him this season.
Overall celtic and rangers are prepping for not only the second half of the season but get the ball rolling for the summer Market.
Celtic are fine.
Rangers are needing more. New keeper, new left back competition, holding mid and a new centre back. They also need to move on the OAPs. Not enough threat despite all the possession.
1:31 it huurts for Aberdeen that Vinnie has gone. Kind of relieved about Anthony Stewart though, I don't want to say he's a bad player but for whatever reason things have not worked out for him in Scottish football and with him being Jim Goodwin's choice of captain, as soon as Goodwin sacked it was no longer going to be a surprise if Anthony Stewart also went. Managed to get himself sent off in important matches too often.
Demetri mitchell signed for my team exeter and played at mk dons last weekend. Looking forward to seeing him play
I believe in the next few years Rangers can make that 2nd place their own and see off Hearts on a regular basis.
Btw Tony Watt is my cousin
Alistair Johnston has been our best signing. He had some shoes to fill and honestly I think heβs done a better job than Juranovic. Josip had his weaknesses but Johnston has been solid so far.
The best signing in Scotland is "Oh my god" π
Celtic had the better window π
I don't agree with having so many from 1 foreign country that doesn't have English as a 1st language
It naturally falls into 2 camps which is not good for cohesion.
We will see in due course.
Jay Henderson for ICTFC
Clearly we won simply by releasing Lafferty πͺ
Killie needed at least about 3-4 more signings especially considering it was our βbiggest budget yetβ disappointing
Don't have a team in Scotland (American) but do always enjoy your videos. I lean a bit on Celtic (have an Irish friend who follows Celtic outside his own club in Dublin) but would not consider myself a fan or supporter. Great video though.
Great vid Sam! Good call out regarding Simon Murray.
My impression is a ton of Queens Park fans are absolutely gutted and feel betrayed that he left after the club helped revive his career and made him club captain. It would be poetic justice if the Spiders manage to get promoted and Ross County get relegated to the Championship. π
Alistair Johnston ππ
Dundee had the best window since Ted Moult was advertising Everest.
Celtic rangers Celtic rangers Celtic rangers…..yawn
Getting Cantwell and Raskin for an a reported 3-3.5 million is sensational business.
No one knows the answer yet,ask again in a month
Celtic, adding real quality to the obviously best squad in the country by a mile, another period of absolute domestic dominance in the making.
This aged well, Rangers are starting to get players back from injury, we signed 2 good players and the players we have are starting to show why they got to the Europa league final.
Mooy
Far more excited about Raskin than Cantwell (who I am a big fan of)
As a Norwich fan, seeing Cantwell go sucks but he will do big things for Rangers if he gets back to his best.
I wonder if there was actually a guy who sat at Hampden Park from the SFA, who sat there the whole month of the transfer window when at one minute past midnight he shut an actual transfer window and nobody could sign anybody else. A guy whose job, as Head of Registrations at the SFA, was to ensure that all players were registered in accordance with the Articles of Association of the SFA (and UEFA), that any evidence of any shenanigans (like International-class players turning down the warm beaches of Barcelona or the behemoth that is Manchester United in order to play football in Govan, and to do it for a salary that is far, far below what their market value would ordinarily have guaranteed) is identified immediately and relayed to the SFA executive board, and that all teams played on a level pitch to the same rules.
But, of course, there was that guy. Step forward Alexander Sandy Bryson – yes, the same Alexander Sandy Bryson who was implicated in the scandal of Jorge Cadete's registration being deliberately delayed in order that he could not be fielded against Rangers FC, a scandal that resulted in the SFA's own Chief Executive, Jim Farry, being fired for gross misconduct – a man no stranger to shenanigans taking place in the department he was entrusted to manage.
Alexander Bryson thought that his covering up of 11 years of corruption relating to improperly registered Rangers players would never be revealed. And with all the Rangers placemen running the SFA headquarters he had every right to such confidence, but what Alexander Bryson couldn't predict was a City of London Police raid on Ibrox Stadium, investigating corruption in football, that open Pandora's Box, I mean Bryson's Box and would bring down the 11 years of cheating aided and abetted by those within Ibrox and the SFA.
I would list all of the 'interesting characters' that Alexander Sandy Bryson's cheating helped bring through the front doors of Ibrox Stadium – Charles Green, Imran Ahmad, David Whitehouse, Paul Clark, Brian Stockbridge, Malcolm Murray, Craig Mather, David Grier, Sandy and James Easdales, Dave King, Graham Wallace, Derek Llambias, Philip Nash, etc, etc, – but, really, there are far too many to name, who came, did their dirty deeds then sauntered off having had their fun with the used jizz magazine that Craig Whyte and Charles Green were passing around to their friends. But there is one 'interesting character' that passed through Ibrox Stadium's front door that would not have been possible but for the corrupt actions of Alexander Sandy Bryson whilst in his position of Head of Registrations at the SFA – no, I am not referring to a Sheriff Officer serving papers on Rangers FC, or even Hector from HMRC. I am, of course, referring to the Grim Reaper, who together with Alexander Sandy Bryson didn't shut an actual transfer window, but did shut the lid on the coffin of Rangers FC in 2012.
I wonder if, given the chance, Alexander Sandy Bryson would choose to not have taken his part in the largest cheating scandal to have ever taken place in UK football, a part that not only saw the end of Rangers FC (1872-2012) but also saw many tens of millions of pounds denied to schools, hospitals and Armed Forces personnel. Together with the legal settlements currently taking place in Scottish courtrooms surrounding those involved in creating The Rangers FC (2012-present), the total losses to the citizens of Scotland from the shenanigans of the two football clubs to have played in Ibrox Stadium won't be far off Β£200 million.
Thank you Alexander Sandy Bryson. Thanks a lot.
Luke Chambers from Liverpool looks like a exciting prospect for Killie. On his debut set up our goal against Dundee United
It's always the same thing… No matter the club league, or even sport. Speculation on the matter of "who won" is irrelevant until we actually see the impact of the players who signed, as well as those who left.
In a two club league like the SPFL, the squad activity of the other clubs is immaterial until proven otherwise.
English fans love the status quo. Here's a newsflash: the status quo is untenable. Yes, the league is popular. But it's stale and getting worse. Eventually, the bubble will burst and the system will collapse on itself.
The sooner the powers that be combine the English and Scottish FAs, and implement a salary cap, transfer cap, and revenue sharing system, the better it will be for the game and for fans.
It will never happen, I know. "England and Scotland are two different countries… What about that, do you not understand?!?". What I do understand is geography. It's all one tiny island – with a single currency… and a single common language… and a single head of government… and a single head of state… and a singular passion for a single game.
With all that said, I'm a devoted Celtic fan. Until someone proves that he is a better evaluator of talent, a better motivator, and a better tactician than Ange, I suspect Celtic's signings will have the greatest impact.
I clicked to hear about the non-Glasgow sides as they don't really get reported on at all.
Obviously Celtic have had the better window again though Livingston seem to have done alright too.
Being a Motherwell fan for 50 years I am feeling the pain. Needed to boost our defense in this window but too many strikers were bought and the luck we had the one new signing Mandron who scored two against Arbroath got injured. We also joined the Japanese trend with Danzaki but looking at his stats and getting a 2-and-a-half-year contract I must be missing something(I hope). The best we can hope for is a Playoff game as think we are stronger than any championship team.
Dammit. I first read "singing". Now I'm a little disappointed.
