What an insane take that this is not a step down. Ofc it is.
Watch any of his interviews, he's clearly thrilled. He gets to play in the league he watched as a kid, with players he knows and is friends with, with a coach he knows and trusts. Who cares if juve gets into Europe, they aren't contenders and it's a dumpster fire at the moment, go where you're gonna enjoy and play your best
Fantastic signing for us! He fits perfectly on and off the pitch. I couldn't be happier! Marching on together 💛🤍💙
It’s definitely a step down.
At least it is American money is being spent….so no one should be complaining. Btw Jesse saved them last year, you forgot to mention this point.
Juve to Leeds is not a step down? 🤣 Just quit your show
hahahhaahhaahahahhaha Not a step down :DDDDDDD Hahahahahahahahahahaha
Going to a relegation team lol
Those saying this is a step down are little kids who don’t know what they’re talking about. Juve is in turmoil and things weren’t going great for him there (in fact many fans are happy to see him leave). This is without question a good move for him as Leeds will most certainly avoid relegation and will look to become a permanent fixture of the Prem
Jesse Marsch is doing in real life what I do in fifa manager mode. You love to see it
What’s the big deal? The guy is now in the PL, he can showcase his talents for possibly a future PL club, gets to start just about every match, sure he’s taking a step down in club if everything goes well it could benefit the club and himself for the future! Taking a step forward is not always the best step to get where you want..but Leeds are gonna be exciting to watch. 👍🏽
I wish more people would realize. Leeds current squad is not a top 10 team. They are a 13-15 PL team based off current squad. That being said I'm stoked for Weston to come in.
A manager needs time, investment, and above all a vision to be shown to the fans of HOW they want to play. Lets see how this plays out, you have a player who is an international, european competitor, AND has been playing jm a very defensive league… surely, this is an EXCELLENT signing.
Leeds United States is the official new name for the club.
United States of Leeds
So when will they sign Pulisic on loan with an option to buy? 😂
Oh wow! That should make them title contenders right away, with losers Jesse "aww shucks" Marsch, Brenda "the hunchback" Andersen, Tyler " mushroom hair" and now Weston "bride of Frankenstein hairdo" mckennie the quartet of losers is complete. BTW Leeds United should bring in Legohead Pulishit so that they can dominate the EPL!! 😂🤣😂🤣
All they need is Christian now
All they need is Christian now
Opinions vary.
No one is talking about how bad aaronson has been since the wc
Win next game we move to 13th..we have a game in hand
It’s a downgrade for him and his talent.
I'm so tired of the of the "United States of Leeds" whining. There are as many Spaniards on this team as Americans. McKennie is an upgrade on this team – they are bringing in a UCL calibre player. Adams is an absolute fan favorite and will likely be moved into the Captaincy on the team when Cooper is supplanted by Wober and others. Leeds is farther in the FA Cup than they've been in years and while they haven't won a game in a stretch, they are also collecting points and not conceding easy goals like they did under Bielsa. Yes, they are within 3 points of the relegation zone, but they are in a cluster of teams all within that relegation battle and they've shown that they have better quality than easily 3 of the 7. The acquisition of Rutter, Wober & McKennie are going to be more than enough to get them to the middle of the table. It has taken awhile to collect the pieces, but Jesse hasn't been in the role for a year yet, he saved them from relegation last year and he's got a vision that ownership understands.
Its just three American players. Leeds has 6 Spanish players. Don’t understand the fuss about it
Is there any difference to French managers bringing in French players, Spanish managers bringing in Spanish players? You bring in what you're familiar with.
So much misinformation in this segment:
– Aaronson was not a Jessi signing, he was linked with Leeds long before Jesse came along. Leed's Victor Orta had been following him for awhile.
– The offer for Ounahi was never retracted. Napoli also had an offer for him above Marseille, but he wanted to stay in France. Weston wasn't "Chosen over him"
That squad still needs alot more time to be challenging for anything after loosing raphina and that cdm they used to have
they needed a forward
Not a step down 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah Weston is gonna fit like a glove at Leeds.
This is in Leeds constitution
Going from playing in the champions league to battling relegation. What kind of a dream is that?
Going from Juve to Leeds🤦🏼♂️
Mckinnie about to get relegated with leeds lol
I love this move can't wait to see McKenney in PL
I think is too fat and slow.😂
To Herc’s point, signing Weston McKinnie was a high risk with not much upside for a higher reward, which makes this move idiotic by McKinney and Jesse marsh
Relegation. I love my American brothers but they can't complete passes. They'll fight, they'll hustle, and they will miss passes that kill the game.
Stupid analysis. I expect a little more from espn.
Looks like he enjoyed the food in Italy
Our team looks naughty now I know that for a fact
Good debate guys,… Am an arsenal fan but am glad they got weston. I Genuinely want Leeds to stay up (great fast exciting football plus an ernest, likeable, knowledgeable and passionate coach). unfortunately I still think his defensive naivety especially in such a ruthless league coupled with unlucky injuries upfront means even with this signing, manager's coaching immaturity and lack of Premier league pragmatism might be the anchor that finally drags Leeds down this season. United States of Leeds though likeable needs to start growing up and quickly
Odd move to me, Leeds is a few floors down from Juventus, seriously, Leeds? . I can think of many better places.
McKennie wouldnt have come to a team like Leeds if there werent so many americans there. Leeds arent getting McKennie because hes American, Leeds are only getting McKennie BECAUSE he wants to play with other Americans
Like it or not, if this doesn’t work out it’s going to not look good for US players/coaches.
Other than the US connection, why! We should have got him and offloaded Rice
Leeds are building it'll all make sense in the next season, it's not too much of a step down more so a great project for now and long term
The defence is what's letting Leeds down, the attack is sensational
Added pressure? Nah
Leeds will stay up, and will be looking good to march on strongly next season
