    My extremely early thoughts on the Nations League finals now that the draw has just happened. As always let me know your thoughts in the comments!

      Many people considered Croatia as a serious contender for this Nations League, but you might know the Netherlands had just restored Ronald Koeman back as a manager. Even though he enjoyed a disappointing campaign with Barcelona, Koeman's role as the Dutch manager is great. He led the team to qualify for Euro 2020 with only single defeat against Germany in the qualification. Also, Spain had former U-21 coach that won the Euro 2019 and reached the Olympic 2020 Final with most players from the senior's team squad that reached the Euro 2020 semifinal like Pedri, Dani Olmo, Mikel Oyarzabal, and Ferran Torres.
      My prediction is:
      1.Netherlands will beat Croatia with one goal (2-1).
      2.Spain and Italy might end on penalty shootout, but Italy might win because they are so lucky with poor guy from Paris, Gigi Donnaruma, rather than Unai Simon.
      3.Netherlands vs Italy in the Final, a remake of the Euro 2000 semifinal that was also held in Netherlands. This time, I think, the Netherlands will win.

      Ned vs CRO 🇭🇷🇱🇺:
      NED has this on the bag. They were brilliant at the world cup with a clear game, CRO has an excellent midfield but low goal potential. It will be the best of match of the 4 ,including the final. 3-1
      Spain vs Italy:🇪🇸🇮🇹
      Interesting match , both teams had very bad luck in recent times, but Italy had more time to recover. However, it can go to either side. Spain 1-2 Italy
      Final Italy vs NED🇮🇹🇱🇺
      NED will be the winner. 2-1

      I actually think Croatia are genuine contenders to win their first ever trophy. 8 years ago I would have mocked this idea, but NET, ESP & ITA all look every beatable.

      I don’t see how Croatia gets past Netherlands. Netherlands is a team that shows such conviction and will to live, plus their offense is a lot better. I wouldn’t mind being wrong but I think they take it all the way, not to mention that they were MUCH better against Argentina than Croatia.

      Also how the nations league works as changed, in 2024/25 the nations who get third place in their league A group will now face a league B nation who got second place in their league B group in a relegation/promotion match, so if let’s say Poland is third place in its nation league group, it will face let’s say Norway the year after in a promotion/relegation match.
      If let’s say Norway wins, Norway wins it will get promoted to league A with the team who won the group Norway was in and Poland will get relegated to league B with the loser of its league A group, if Poland wins it stays in league A.
      The same goes for league C second comers and third comers with league B they will also have relegation/promotion matches.

      Spain 2 2 Italy(Italy win on pens)
      3rd place Croatia 1 3 Spain
      Final Netherlands 0 1 Italy
      Im pretty sure I will change my predictions after the euro qualifiers

      Crazy that Argentina beat Croatia in the WC Semi Final and the Netherlands in the WC QF and before these they beat Italy in Finalissma. So the last team to put 3 of the 4 nations out of their last competition was Argentina.

      This tournaments is legit it is not à gloryfiend friendys who wins this tournaments is a Real champion and teams who dosnt considère this tournaments as important are missing a chance to win something (Belgium)
