Andy Irons went down in the Quarter Finals to eventual Pipeline Masters WINNER Ron Machado. Rob beat an in-form Renan Rocha in the Semi-Finals and took out an on-fire Mick Lowe in the Final Heat. It was a huge goal in my life to win an event in Hawaii … I grew up idolizing Gerry Lopez … just the lines he drew and all the other great surfers at Pipeline.
