Dorset Cricket will host its second Women’s Showcase Day on Thursday, July 31 at Canford-Magna Cricket Club in Wimborne, building on the energy of the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup.
The event, now in its second year, promises to unite fans of all ages and backgrounds in support of the fast-growing women’s game.
Andy Coleman, CEO of Dorset Cricket, said: “This is a day for everyone.

“It’s a celebration of opportunity, belonging and the future of women’s sport in Dorset.
“Whether you’re a cricket fan, a parent, a young player, or someone who just wants to enjoy a great day out with a real sense of purpose – we want you there.
“It’s a chance to show your support for the women’s game and to be part of something that’s growing right here in Dorset.”
The centrepiece of the day is a women’s T20 showcase match featuring professional players and coaches from Hampshire Cricket and the wider professional circuit.
Alongside the match will be a packed schedule of activities, including a skills masterclass for young people, interactive play zones for children, and a ‘Let’s Talk’ hub with live discussions from guest speakers championing women’s sport.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic, though a range of food and drink will be available onsite.
A VIP marquee lunch will give businesses and supporters the chance to network and enjoy the cricket in the company of sporting figures.
The event will continue into the evening with live music and entertainment on the terraces at The Hamworthy Club.
Organisers hope to establish the Women’s Showcase as a regular fixture in the Dorset summer calendar, celebrating the players, organisations and communities driving the women’s game forward.
The Dorset Women’s Showcase Day is open to the public, with tickets priced at £10 for adults and free entry for under-18s.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
