A man who suffered burn injuries is in a “serious condition” after a fire at a Leicester petrol station.
Leicestershire Police said it was called at 1.19pm on Saturday, June 20, regarding reports of a van on fire in the Shell petrol station located in Uppingham Road, near Humberstone Park.
Upon arrival officers, along with Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service, found a man in his 60s who had burn injuries.

The man has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition. No other people were injured.
Officers said a van, parked on the forecourt, was on fire at the scene.
A 62-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
The petrol station remains closed while an investigation into the circumstances of the fire takes place.
Part of Uppingham Road was closed, but has since reopened.
