It was previously reported that video footage showed a man being confronted by members of the public in H&M at Castlepoint on Saturday, May 30.
Dorset Police confirmed it had received a report of alleged voyeurism on Saturday, May 30 at the Castlepoint store after a man was reportedly taking photos of female customers in changing rooms.
In an update, a Dorset Police spokesperson said: “A 47-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on Friday, 19 June, 2026, on suspicion of voyeurism and has subsequently been bailed.”
A spokesperson for H&M previously said: “We take these allegations very seriously, and while we are unable to comment on this specific case as it is currently under police investigation, we are committed to ensuring that our customers feel safe and supported when shopping with us.”
