A new discount store opens today, offering more than 1,000 items at great prices.
Pound Plus Daily opens today, Saturday (June 20) at 61 Derby Road, Southampton, offering a variety of essentials at prices ranging from £1 to £3 with a smaller range of items available at higher prices like TV stands and other household equipment.
Shoppers can expect to find everything from home and kitchen supplies to DIY, stationery, and personal care products.

The store will also stock household cleaning products, homeware, garden items and tools.

Owner George Singh, whose son will be running Pound Plus Daily, told the Daily Echo: “Nothing’s ever £1 these days is it? But we are keen to keep prices as low as we possibly can and help families save a few pennies.”
The national store Poundland closed several locations earlier this year, unable to continue to sell items at the advertised price point.
