Arsenal are ready to go all in to sign a Premier League forward in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are yet to complete any new additions this summer, which might not be a surprise due to the ongoing World Cup.

The summer tournament makes it difficult to get deals over the line, with selling clubs often waiting until toward the end of the World Cup in case their players enjoy an impressive tournament.

If a player thrives at the World Cup, their value can often rapidly increase, making it difficult for buying clubs to get deals over the line.

Arsenal aren’t in a position where they desperately need to overpay for targets after they have already built a squad capable of winning the Premier League.

Arsenal Identify Priority Target

Mikel Arteta

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have identified their priority target for the summer transfer window.

The Gunners want to sign Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers and will go all in for the England international who is currently at the World Cup.

“We should not forget about [Bradley] Barcola, who is also appreciated by Arsenal, but the priority for Arsenal remains Morgan Rogers. So Arsenal wants to sign Morgan Rogers, and Arsenal will go all in for Morgan Rogers, that’s the expectation. Barcola is still on the short list, but nothing in it.”

It certainly won’t be an easy deal to get over the line, with Aston Villa likely to demand a huge fee to allow Rogers to depart.

If Rogers, who could cost £100m, did arrive at the Emirates Stadium, there’s a strong chance he would be deployed as a left-sided attacker. Arsenal already have Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard for the number 10 position.

Arsenal Pushing to Sign Another Winger

Jeremy Monga

Another report from Romano confirmed that Arsenal have submitted an official offer to sign Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga in the summer transfer window.

The 16-year-old is believed to want to join Arsenal this summer, and the deal is now moving quickly, with the Gunners optimistic about securing his signature.

Monga, despite likely being a signing for the future, also has the potential to make an immediate impact.

The Leicester winger has already made an impact at senior level with the Foxes despite not being a guaranteed starter for them last season.

The Gunners are clearly looking to bring in ‘superstars‘ like Rodgers, but also young talent from around the world.
