Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with West Ham United over Crysencio Summerville, giving the Hammers another major transfer pressure point.
Journalist Shaun Irvine has claimed United have started discussions with West Ham for the winger after Summerville’s agent gave the green light over a potential move.
He also reported that personal terms would not cause an issue, with United’s recruitment team working on a double deal for Summerville and Mateus Fernandes.
That makes this more than a repeat of earlier interest.
ReadWestHam has already covered how PSG contact gives West Ham fresh Crysencio Summerville transfer leverage, but United opening talks would shift the story again.

West Ham Cannot Let United Set The Pace
West Ham’s position has to stay simple.
Summerville still carries major value, and United’s interest should not turn into a cut-price negotiation because the Hammers dropped into the Championship.
The Sun previously reported that West Ham could seek around £50million for the winger, while United also admire Fernandes.
That double-deal angle matters because it tests West Ham’s whole rebuild.
ReadWestHam has also covered how Romano’s Fernandes warning gave West Ham a firmer transfer line, and the same discipline now applies to Summerville.
If United want both players, West Ham need serious fees, clean structures and no panic.
Summerville may have interest from major clubs, but that should strengthen West Ham’s hand rather than weaken it.
The message now has to be clear: talks are fine, but the price must suit the London Stadium.
