Nottingham Forest currently have one of the most valuable squads in world football, it has been claimed.
Head coach Vitor Pereira has said all along he believes the Reds have a solid group in place. And it seems the analysts at transfermarkt.com agree with him.
They believe the market value of Forest’s dressing room is a whopping €577.6 million (£498.4m). By their reckoning, that is the 13th most valuable squad in world football – ahead of the likes of European heavyweights Juventus, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig.

Take the continental clubs out of it and the Reds have the eighth most valuable squad in the Premier League. Only the traditional ‘Big Six’ and Newcastle United are ahead of them.
Manchester City top the pile – by some distance – in the English top flight with the market value of their squad put at £1.13 billion. They are just behind Paris Saint-Germain on the list, with the French giants’ squad worth a staggering £1.18bn.
Transfermarkt put the average market value of Forest players at €19.92m (£16.4m). The combined market value of the club’s 18 most valuable players is put at €511m (£441m).
Unsurprisingly, given he is a wanted man this summer, Elliot Anderson is listed as the Reds’ most valuable player. His market value is put at €75m (£64m), which is rather an undervaluation given a bid of £120m from Manchester City for him was rejected earlier this week.
Morgan Gibbs-White is just behind Anderson in market value, according to Transfermarkt. The playmaker is valued at €70m (£60m), followed by Murillo at €50m (£43m), Dan Ndoye at €32m (£27m) and Callum Hudson-Odoi and Omari Hutchinson, both at €30m (£25m).
