Jadon Sancho is prioritising a stay in the Premier League despite Besiktas reportedly lining up an offer. The 26‑year‑old becomes a free agent at the end of June, bringing his five‑year spell at Manchester United to a close following last season’s loan at Aston Villa.
United dedicated just 44 words to confirming his exit and, while there is no ill will toward Sancho, he will go down as one of the club’s worst‑ever signings. United paid £73million to bring him in from Borussia Dortmund and he managed only 12 goals in 83 appearances.
His £250,000‑a‑week wages and the fact United effectively paid £6m per goal – underline how costly the deal proved. Sancho, who missed out on Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad, is now enjoying some time off before deciding his next move.

While interest is expected, few clubs will be able to match his salary demands.
Turkish outlet Fanatik claim Besiktas are one of the sides preparing an offer in the ‘coming days.’ Sancho was said to be on the Black Eagles’ shortlist during the season, but he is prioritising a move to another Premier League club.
Meanwhile, Alan Pardew has suggested the winger hasn’t done enough to earn a major move this summer.
“He hasn’t really done enough to warrant a massive, massive contract like he was on at Man United, but he’ll get a good move,” the former Newcastle United boss said on talkSPORT.

“When you get to the end of the season, it is an opportunity. You have to make some really tough calls on who to renegotiate with because obviously there’s a value to the football club.
“You might actually as a manager want them to go, but the club have a financial interest in them, and wants some money back and get them to re-sign one more year. Let’s see if we can move him on.
“It’ll be good for you for the year. You have to have all those kinds of debates.”
At Villa, Sancho made 39 appearances, starting only nine games and scoring once while providing three assists. His underwhelming stint at Villa Park meant Unai Emery’s side opted against pursuing a permanent deal.
