“Grateful to have twin boys on the way.”
Van Hecke’s hectic summer might also involve a relocation as his former Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi attempts to take him to Tottenham.
Two has not been the lucky number for Spurs but they are likely to come back with a third offer for van Hecke.
Holland goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen was first to congratulate them via Instagram and, no doubt, passed on best wishes in person too.
Ven Hecke, Verbruggen and Albion colleague Mats Wieffer are all part of the Dutch squad who will face Japan, Sweden and Tunisia in the World Cup group stages.
Meanwhile Sweden midfielder Yasin Ayari and partner Sandra shared news that they are new parents.
They announced the birth of their daughter Angelina Nalanie on social media.
Former Albion goalkeeper coach Marco Knoop was quick to congratulate them.
Holland and Sweden will go head-to-head in Houston on June 20.
