The iconic ex-skipper, now 40, captained the England Seniors side as they beat France 4-0 in Thailand to claim the Seniors World Cup this weekend.
It’s the ninth time England have lifted the trophy at the annual event, which was first held in 2006 in a bid to try to lure tourists back after the devastating tsunami in 2004.
The Three Lions – who also included fellow ex-Blue David Norris in the squad – beat Australia 5-2 in the last four to reach the final.
Before that, they saw off the host nation 2-0, the USA 3-0 and Taiwan 4-1 in the group stages.
Chambers wrote on social media: “What a week it’s been in Thailand!
“Thank you to England Vets Football for having me. Our love of the game is part of us, so to pull on a shirt again, let alone one for my country has been incredible.
“We won the Seniors World Cup, an amazing feeling. Probably need to come back and defend it next year.”
Along with Chambers and Norris, the England squad was Lee Hendrie, Jamie Cureton, Gareth Barry, Ian Cox, Kevin Ellison, Karl Duguid, Barry Hayles, Luke McCormick, Jamie Coyle, Lee Elam, Jake Wright and Aaron O’Connor.
