Bennetts played 38 games Martin Paterson’s side, who were promoted to the third tier after beating Salford City 3-0 in the fourth-tier play-off final.
However, he has not been retained at Meadow Lane and is now looking for his next club this summer.

Bennetts was on loan from German side Borussia Mönchengladbach and made 30 appearances for the Blues, scoring once.
