Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani was strongly linked with a move to Norwich City this summer, but there’s been a sudden change of heart.

United chairman Paraag Marathe has insisted that new SCR thresholds implemented for the Premier League will impact how Leeds approach the transfer market.

Money is still there to be spent in quite a big way – as is standard for top flight clubs. But, selling players takes more of a focus as the 49ers look to raise funds further to reinvest.

Norwich City interest in Largie Ramazani played down as Leeds United assess winger

It was previously reported that loaned out Leeds man Largie Ramazani was subject to interest from Norwich City – per local outlet The Pink Un.

Canaries boss and fellow Belgian Philippe Clement is in the market for a winger. And, the report claimed that the Championship promotion hopefuls are willing to commit a “significant” figure to whoever they end up signing.

However, Norwich pundit Chris Reeve has since played down a move to Carrow Road for Ramazani. He reports that there is ‘nothing in’ reports linking two parties this summer.

As a result, it leaves Leeds with one less club interested in potentially signing Ramazani. As it stands, only Valencia are publicly keen on pursuing a permanent transfer for the £10million man.

49ers options shrink as Leeds United ponder Largie Ramazani’s future

Given that Ramazani is merely a squad player at best right now, I don’t think I will be too fussed either way this summer.

Either we integrate an explosive winger back in as depth behind Noah Okafor, to save funds. Or, we sell him and reinvest.

Both solutions strengthen our squad in a shrewd way. The headache now for the 49ers is trying to maximise his value one way or the other. And with one less suitor at the table, it makes negotiation a bit tougher.

I’m not expecting that we make a sale before Daniel Farke gets another look at him during pre-season. The lack of buy option in his loan gives us plenty of time to decide.
